0:30Teaser
“Make a 30 second version.”
Film it on every phone.
Say how to cut it.
Multi-camera scenes that used to take a crew and an editor, from the iPhones you already have. Describe the edit in plain words, and ProfessorCut turns your own footage into your creative cuts, without generating fake content.
Get the iPhone app (beta)Your footage. Your cut. No AI slop.
ProfessorCut doesn't generate video. Every frame and every sound in your cut is something your phones recorded. The AI speeds up the creative part: you describe what you want in natural language, and we make it happen.
A 30-second teaser, a 1-minute edit and the full version, all from the same scene.
Switch between every phone in the shoot, or reframe one phone into a close-up.
Keep the mic under the whole video, lay the voice over b-roll, or let the sound follow each camera.
Type the edit, see what it did, tweak the wording and run it again. Every version is saved.
One scene, every cut
Ask for a 30-second teaser, a 1-minute edit and a hype cut from the same footage. Each one is saved as its own cut, so you can switch between them, tweak the wording and run it again, or delete what you don't need.
0:30“Make a 30 second version.”
1:00“Make a 1 minute version.”
0:20“Hype edit with fast cuts, 20 seconds.”
✨ ProfessorCut
ProfessorCut reads your instruction, plans the edit from your shots and what was said in them, and the app makes that cut from your footage. It tells you what it did, and what it couldn't.
✨ ProfessorCut
Use the speaker's audio the whole way. Cut between the band and the crowd every 4 seconds, and be back on the speaker whenever he starts a sentence.
Audio from Host 0:00 throughout. Cutting between Cam 1 0:00, Cam 2 0:30, Host 0:00 every 4s, back on Host 0:00 when a sentence starts. 2:00 long.
Talking
B-roll
TalkingB-roll with audio over
Lay one phone's audio under the whole video while the picture moves to other cameras, or to footage from a different moment. Cut back to the speaker and the voice is still in sync.
Take 10 seconds of [Host 0:30]'s audio and play it over 10 seconds of [Cam 1 21:44].
Multi-angle
Everyone films the same moment on their own phone. The clips land on yours, lined up by when they were recorded, so cutting between angles stays in sync.

ProfessorCut can reframe a shot into a close-up, so even one phone gives you a wide and a tight shot.

For creators and pros
Interviews, classes, performances and events with a mic on the talent and a phone on every angle, cut together without a crew or an editing suite.
🎙 MICPlug a wired mic, or a wireless mic's receiver, into any phone in the shoot. Mark that phone as the one with the mic, and its audio becomes the sound for the whole scene by default.
Audio has its own track. Let it follow the camera on screen, or pick any phone's audio at any moment: the mic for the talk, the room for the crowd.
“Use the speaker's audio the whole way and cut between the band and the crowd every 4 seconds.”
We're building our own camera into ProfessorCut so every phone in a shoot can capture more from one position, at the highest resolution the phone allows.

What people film
Our work
The host uses the ProfessorCut app on an iPhone. Joiners can use the app, or film straight from the browser on an Android phone, an iPhone or a computer with a camera (Safari, Chrome or Edge), with no app or account.
Your recordings are saved and edited on your phone. When you send a clip to someone else's shoot, it goes directly between phones nearby, or through our cloud storage when the phones aren't nearby. The full details are in the privacy policy.
No. It only cuts the footage your phones recorded. It turns your instruction into an edit plan, then the app carries that plan out on your phone.
It tells you. After every cut you get a short summary of what it did, and a "Couldn't do" note for anything it can't do yet, such as slow motion or music.
Not in ProfessorCut. It gets you to the cut: angles, timing, length and audio. Export the video and finish it in the editor you already use, or post it as it is.
Yes. Every result opens in the editor, so you can change cameras, trim, or run ProfessorCut again with different wording. Each version is saved.
